Don't work for money
There is an old cliché that goes, “Job is an acronym for ‘Just Over Broke.’” And unfortunately, I would say that the saying applies to millions of people. Because school does not think financial intelligence is intelligence, most workers “live within their means.” They work and they pay the bills. Instead I recommend to young people to seek work for what they will learn, more than what they will earn. Look down the road at what skills they want to acquire before choosing a specific profession and before getting trapped in the “Rat Race”. Once people are trapped in the lifelong process of bill paying, they become like those little hamsters running around in those little metal wheels. Their little furry legs are spinning furiously, the wheel is turning furiously, but come tomorrow morning, they’ll still be in the same cage: great job.

Goodbye Thatcher
Former Conservative prime minister Margaret Thatcher has died after suffering a stroke today. Britain's first and only female political leader passed away peacefully aged 87, after suffering from poor health for more than a decade.
The Queen was sad to hear of Baroness Thatcher's death and Her Majesty will send a private message of sympathy to the family, Buckingham Palace said today. Prime Minister David Cameron said: 'It was with great sadness that l learned of Lady Thatcher’s death. We've lost a great leader, a great Prime Minister and a great Briton'. He will return early from his visit to Europe this afternoon following the death of Baroness Thatcher, Downing Street said.
Farewell.

Why you are not motiviated
f your life is quite comfortable, you may lose motivation to push yourself to grow. Keep in mind that it's always good to get out of your comfort zone, because that's the only way you can improve yourself. Do something you're hesitant about every week, and you'll find yourself getting used to it or even looking forward to the challenge after some time. It can be something small like asking someone you just met out for lunch, or a bigger move like giving honest feedback to your boss.
If you set unrealistic expectations, you are setting yourself up for higher chances of failing, which can cause you to lose motivation. Make sure your goals are actually achievable before setting them.

Dream job versus reality
What are your dream job prospects? Are you looking to break into the subprime mortgage origination business, or are you looking into alternative energy? Some sectors are hotter than others. Growing industries will hire faster. Newer industries will hire people with less experience (since by default everyone has less experience in brand new industries) and are more open to career changers.
These are just some of the issues that you have to weigh. The work involves actually thinking through these issues — calculating your financial obligations, your reserves, examining your will and researching your target sectors. It is not a single right or wrong answer, but more of a process and series of actions. In this way, it is less about waiting and more about doing. The best job seekers are proactive and don’t wait.

Prevent from being droozy in spring
Ever have one of those days when you’re unsure if you can make it to the end of the day without snoozing at your desk? Those sleepless nights can be tough, but staying awake on the job is even more painful. Too much coffee can make you jittery, so what else you can do to avoid snoring at work?
First, take notes to keep yourself focused on your tasks. It’s also a good way to keep your sleep-deprived self from making careless mistakes.
Second, using minty eye drops will double the jolt. This is a great tip because you don’t have to leave your desk to do it.
Finally, try to get some sun if you can. Bring the shades up or take a short walk to soak in the sunshine. It will make your body feel more awake and facilitate a better adjustment to daytime mode.

What a wonderful world
Last afternoon,a very touching scenery was presented on a roadside of OCT bay, a famous traveling spot in Shenzhen. When a hungry old man goggle-eyed at the packed meal in the fast-food store through the glass of the store, a young passing girl went to buy a pack of meal for the old man without any hesitate. The most impressive point was that the girl keeled on the ground and feed the old man with patience.

How to refresh your mind in 10 mins
When you go from one task to the next--all day long--your mind constantly races to catch up.
The average office worker changes windows [on her computer] 37 times an hour. When your mind changes gears that rapidly, part of your brain is still engaged in the previous task and you don’t have all of the attention and resources necessary to concentrate on the current task. This slows down productivity and reduces your ability to filter relevant information from irrelevant information.
Refreshing your brain is easier than you think. Here's the first and only step: Do nothing.Simply setting aside 10 minutes each day to quiet your mind. Practice observing anxieties without passing judgment--simply experience them. Focus on the present moment and nothing else.
We can’t change every little thing that happens to us,but we can change how we experience it.

Chinese First Lady
As Chinese President Xi Jinping departs Friday on his first overseas tour, which includes stops in Moscow and three African countries, along with the BRICS summit in Durban, South Africa, Beijing's media is buzzing about the impact of Xi’s famous wife Peng Liyuan, who will be traveling with him.
China's new first lady, one of the country’s most prominent folk singers and a World Health Organization Goodwill Ambassador for Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, has long been as well known as her husband.
News that she would accompany her husband on the trip has already attracted widespread attention on China’s Twitter-like Weibo micro-blogging service, where expectations are high about her ability to boost Beijing’s image abroad.
In Russia, China’s president will focus on strengthening long steady bilateral ties and boosting already booming cooperation in fields such as energy, aviation, space and technology.

Smile! GUYS
Smiling is a great way to make yourself stand out while helping your body to function better. Smile to improve your health, your stress level, and your attractiveness. Smiling is just one fun way to live longer read about the others and try as many as you can.
Try this test: Smile. Now try to think of something negative without losing the smile. It's hard. When we smile our body is sending the rest of us a message that "Life is Good!" Stay away from depression, stress and worry by smiling.

There's a bigger world
No matter how much you love your current place of residence, it’s just all-around a good thing to get out every now and again and see some new surroundings. You are able to put some comparison up against the corner bars you are used to, the restaurants you frequent, the architecture you’re surrounded by, and the public transportation you use every day.
While you may end up finding that you prefer where you came from, it’s nice to see just how much of our own cities we take for granted as being universal, and even how the buzz of a city around dusk can feel completely different in a climate which is almost identical. Cities have their own lives and personalities, and we sometimes forget that ours is far from being the only kind out there.

The one in your heart
People come into your life for a reason, or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.
When someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. Sometimes they die. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. Your need has been answered, and now it is time to move on.
Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

OMG! Quit Job After Lunar Year
For increasing numbers of young Chinese professionals, the first day back at work after the Lunar New Year holiday is the day they quit.
The period after the Lunar New Year holiday, also known as Spring Festival, often sees Chinese workers on the move. With their annual bonus in their pocket, and the trip home to see family behind them, many young workers are looking for a change. But this year, the number looking for new opportunities was especially high.
Nasdaq-listed recruitment site 51job notes a similar trend. The number of job opportunities posted in the week after New Year reached 2.26 million, up 21.5% year-on-year, the company said in a recent report. The increase was caused partly by an increase in the number of companies advertising jobs online, and partly by workers quitting their jobs at the end of the holiday, according to the report.

Study abroad or not
I have been fascinated with foreign travels since I was a boy and wished I can do it in the universities. Moreover, I have a bunch of friends study abroad all over USA , Europe and Singapore who also have positive experiences of studying abroad. However, a coin has two sides. We have to admit that studying abroad can broad our sight and grant us more opportunities to live better, however, if you can't adapt to the way of living abroad, studying abroad may bothering you in so many ways. So whether to study abroad or not, it really depends on yourself.

Love what you love
I think there is one main reason people don't follow their passion: fear. Fear of how others will react, fear of failure, and fear that they can't do it themselves. I think the first part is for people to realize that they can conquer their fear. You will fail at times and others will think you are crazy at times, but if you believe that you will succeed than you ultimately will.
I understand that it is not easy. I am in the middle of going through it right now. But understand that there are other people out there who have been through what you are going through and can help you immensely. They have failed, been ridiculed, and come out on the other end extremely successful. They are living proof that you can do what you love.

Understand the philosophy behind the language
When I was first learning the earliest versions of Java, the language seemed verbose and unnecessarily complex. I was an inexperienced programmer at the time and was used to a procedural world coded in C. Java was the furthest thing from procedural but I could not appreciate its genius– or even it’s utility– because I didn’t understand the Object Oriented Philosophy behind it.Then came Dr. Weng Kai. In Dr. Kai's class at the University of Zhejiang in China, I first started to understand the Object Oriented Approach to solving computer science programs.Learning the Object Oriented Philosophy really helped me appreciate and understand Java at its core as an Object Oriented Approach. There is a reason we have a plethora of programming languages. Different languages are optimized to solve different types of problems or designed to work at different levels of abstraction within a computer system. Understanding what the language you are learning is used for– and at what level of the “food chain” it works best at– is critical to understanding how to apply that language to solving actual problems.

Is your life meaningful?
Take a second to do a little “meditation” with me. I want you to take your hands off the mouse and just spend two minutes imagining your death. Imagine you are laying on your bed with your family around you. Imagine you have only five or six breaths left before you depart to the next world. How do you feel? Do you have regrets? Are you afraid?
Some people get really angry when I talk about death. They send me emails asking me to stop talking about this terribly taboo subject. I find this attitude really sad because death is the one thing we can be sure of in this world. Nothing else is certain, but our death is. No one in the history of the planet has ever avoided death. Everyone has to go through it. So why, then, is everyone afraid of preparing for it?
Don’t be someone who is afraid of death. Do the meditation and really try to imagine what it is going to be like. How do you feel? If you find you are afraid, anxious or regretful then I can guarantee you aren’t living your life the way you intended. You aren’t making every minute meaningful. By looking at death we can get a great insight into our life.

Cheap Edition of Iphone?
It is said that the Apple Corporation is going to introduce new cheap edition of iphone in the late of the year. There have been already several new products come out after Cook superseded the CEO position, however, none of them have bright spots. From ihpone 5 to ipad mini, the Apple has been introducing their new product in a rapid speed in order to swallow every inch of market share. Nevertheless, more and more customers are disappointed with those products for the simple reason that there is rarely any bright upgrade, resulting in the stock of the Apple Corporation crashed recently. May be Cook is only a business man, rather than a talent.

Maximization
The economists consider that all individuals are motivated by greed. That's the principle of maximization and also the foundation of economy. It is said that every one is willing to maximize his or her own profit who is motivated by greed no matter what he or she does. Apparently, a business man who always wants to enlarge his or her business to maximize his or her profits. However, someone may argue about that principle, for the simple reason whether it is also valid if someone is going to help others. Sure it is. Even though it is a bit cruel to admit that, it is the nature of the human being. The profit may not that clear to be seen, but it surely exists. The reason for someone to help others might be the fame or comfort his or her conscious.

Thought on teamwork
Teamwork means that everyone should make his/her best effort to help the whole team succeed. However, it doesn't mean someone could put aside his work and count on others completely. That was irresponsible to others. Everyone in the group should always communicate with others about the process of the project and should be feel guilty if his/her act of omission results in bringing bad consequences to the team.

Improve oral English
The best way to improve oral English is to leave the circle, in which people only speak their mother tongue. For example, when I came to Canada at the first time, all of my roommates were from China. Undoubtedly, you wouldn't feel lonely living in such environment, however, it was also exploiting you the chances of adapting the Canadian culture. As time went on, you were gonna find your social circle was becoming smaller and smaller and you even didn't speak English all day except some pathetic greeting words, such as "Whats up" or "Bye". It was gonna ruin your life in Canada if this thing persisted.

Master Or Work
My parents, like most traditional Chinese parents, always think that highly educated is identical high income. In terms of that, they always try to persuade me in different ways to take the advanced studies. However, the world is different nowadays. Even though, the educational background can speak something, however, it cannot stand for everything. The manager of a corporation is more aware of the working experience rather than the academic carrier. No matter you are graduate from one of the universities belonging to Ivy League or Simon Fraser University, if you really own something, the educational background is nothing to speak of.

Gun Control in US
It is reported a 15-year-old boy remained in custody Sunday night as detectives tried to piece together what led to the shooting of five people, including three young children, who were found dead in a New Mexico home. Gun control is not a recent issue, however, it has been existed for many decades and the debate related to gun control seems like coming more and more intensified nowadays due to the recent shooting crime resulting in 20 kids dead in a Connecticut elementary school. It is distinct to every one that gun crime has now risen to a intolerable level and it's exact the time to amend the constitution to apply Gun Control like what Bill Clinton did during his term of office.

Consciousness
There's a famous philosophic problem related to consciousness. Assume that there's a machine which can decompose your body into particles and reconstruct all of the particles into a new people, whether the newly created human is the original one? Without considering consciousness, it's the hundred percent sure the the answer is yes, however, because of the consciousness, we can not say they are the same. For the simple reason that consciousness is not existed in the form of particles, so we can not reconstruct the consciousness for the newly created human. However, we still don't know what exactly the consciousness is up to now.

Beijing Pollution Hits High
The air pollution in Beijing has been endured for several days and it doesn't seem like getting better in the next few days. Even though the Chinese's government has made their best effort to reduce the pollution in their capital city in recent years, the circumstance is not optimistic. It is necessary for the Chinese' government to take some efficient actions to polish up the environment, otherwise, the tragic part of history of foggy city-London will repeat itself in the future in China.

Graduate
I'm going to graduate after this term under normal circumstance. Something always comes to my mind in some time that I'm always wondering what I have learned indeed in the past 5 years. Everyone has different ideas about that. Some may think they've mastered the knowledge about their majors, however, the others may argue about that, which they consider they actually learn the method of gaining knowledge rather than the knowledge itself. For me, I've been still pursuing the answers.
